Among various transparent conductive oxides (TCOs), ITO is regarded as a high-performance TCO with excellent electrical conductivity, transparency, and stability, and it can be easily fabricated into transparent circuits.
It is used for vapor deposition to prepare electromagnetic shielding materials; it is an ideal material for electron beam evaporation coating.
Its main applications include LCD, plasma, EL, electrochromic, and OLED displays, touch screens, antistatic coatings, electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding, aircraft windshields, defrosting glass for de-fogging, and photovoltaic solar cells.
